Health & Life Skills- Be Healthy!

We promote programs that develop a youth’s ability to engage in positive behaviors allowing them to cultivate their own well-being, set personal goals and live successfully as self-sufficient adults.

Our young people develop the competencies necessary to successfully navigate the transition from childhood to adulthood through participation in our Health and Life Skills programs.  To improve their resistance skills and basic knowledge on topics such as tobacco, alcohol, drugs, gangs and violence, we offer a variety of programs including SMART Moves, SMART GirlsStreet SMART, and Second Step. 

Our gender specific programs, T.E.A.M. and Passport to Manhood, allow our female and male teens to have a unique opportunity to participate in discussions and activities in a safe environment to learn the skills necessary to postpone engaging in sexual behaviors and positively handle the peer pressures faced outside of the Club.
